Seven Years in India building the Corporate R&D from ground up at Asian Paints Ltd, Mumbai, India
The video shows the result of 7 years of hard work developing the infrastructure, developing new programs, hiring and developing new talents, and creating a new culture. The architect translated Mosongo Moukwa’s vision of Collaboration and Innovation, articulated in 2006 when he made a case for a corporate R&D. The Center was completed in 2008. It is one of the largest R&D Center in India.
Before that, he was Vice President, for Global Technology-Coatings Products with Reichhold Inc., based in Durham, NC, where he initiated and led the transfer and incorporation of new technologies from Dainippon Ink and Chemical (DIC) resulting in opening up new markets.
Achievements: $30 million in new business in graphic arts and powder. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Global Technology at Johnson Polymer, a former division of SCJohnson family of companies. He managed global alliances, knowledge sharing, intellectual property and technology processes.
Achievements: New market penetration $10 million in FDA approved chemical formulations; He started his career at Master Builders Technologies, focusing on developing chemical admixtures and construction products. He was the first Manager of Research for Chemical Admixtures, the first Director of Corporate R&D, then Technical Director for Construction Products.
He has a PhD from The Université de Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada; MBA from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH; Post-Doctoral Fellow, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL; NSERC Fellowship (Natural Science & Engineering Research Council) of Canada.
He is a certified coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and Product Development Management Association (PDMA).
